Located in College Hill, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, Pinecroft was built in 1928 for famed Cincinnati entrepreneur Powel Crosley, Jr., and his family. Crosley resided here until his death in 1961. After decades under the tender care of Mercy Hospital-Mt. Airy next door, the historic Dwight James Baum-designed mansion was given to the Cincinnati Preservation Association in 2011. Today, the home has been restored and can be rented for parties, corporate meetings and events. Information at www.pinecroftmansion.com.
TOURS are available of Pinecroft Mansion, too! The historians of Media Heritage, Inc., Cincinnati's not-for-profit broadcast history organization, are available for special event tours based upon scheduling availability. Rates vary. All proceeds benefit local broadcast history and CPA building preservations efforts.
COMING IN THE SPRING of 2013...regularly scheduled monthly open house tours.
